As of July 1, 2016 the operator for BRTA’s paratransit program has changed. Customers using the familiar purple and white vehicles will now call 499-2782 extension 3, to schedule their next ride. For a copy of the informational brochure, click the button below to download a PDF of the brochure.
Paratransit Management of Berkshire (PMB), a subsidiary of First Transit, is the company succeeding County Ambulance for both ADA and premium transportation. The PMB call center is open Monday through Saturday from 8 AM until 5 PM. There is a voice messaging system to allow customers the option to leave a detailed message regarding their trip when all the call center staff are busy or when the office is closed. Premium ticket users can inquire about their scheduled vehicle location until 9 PM.
The paratransit program will operate in a similar fashion where eligible customers can schedule their transportation needs. A purple and white vehicle will provide a shared ride to or from their desired destination. Fares for the paratransit program remain the same under the new operator PMB.
