PITTSFIELD, MA — The Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA) invites public comment regarding proposed BRTA bus stop locations along Dalton Avenue and Cheshire Road in Pittsfield.
BRTA Route 1 (Pittsfield/North Adams) and Route 4 (Pittsfield-Dalton-Hinsdale) provide service along this corridor.
All locations are proposed as part of BRTA’s bus stop installation and improvement project currently ongoing throughout Berkshire County. Once locations are finalized, each of the new bus stops will include a new BRTA bus stop sign and sign pole.
Proposed bus stop locations will be marked with a “Proposed BRTA Bus Stop” lawn sign for a period of at least fifteen (15) days within the thirty (30) day public comment period. All feedback and comments will be reviewed before final location decisions are made.
Safe, well-marked, and attractive bus stop infrastructure is a key component in the enhancement of Berkshire County’s public transportation options offered by your Berkshire Regional Transit Authority.
Public comments will be accepted Wednesday, 9/13/23, through Friday, October 13, 2023.
