BRTA COVID-19 Update

Effective June 1, 2021, the BRTA will lift most COVID-19 pandemic restrictions that were put into place over a year ago. As vaccinations in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts have exceeded 3.5 million residents and the Governor will lift most restrictions, the Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA) will follow this guidance.

The Intermodal Transit Center will reopen. The vehicle seating separation for social distancing will be rescinded. Shared trips will resume on the paratransit system. The Federal Mask Mandate will remain in full effect and masks will continue to be mandatory on any BRTA vehicle or facility.

The Berkshire Regional Transit Authority (BRTA) is committed to the health and safety of our customers utilizing BRTA services. For your health and the health of others, if you are sick, have a cough, fever, or other COVID-19 symptoms, do not ride the BRTA bus.
